Close to several wineries.
Noisy shower, poor breakfast, pretty old rooms.
The winery across the street (Bedford Thompson) was great. The room, not so much.
Didn't like the room at all, but really liked the town of Los Alamos, CA.
Strong ammonia smell in bathroom, had to keep door closed
We had gone to Solvang for a weekend getaway. This was the cheapest hotel room that we could find at the last minute. For a $100, this room was excellent - we had two separate rooms, one with a king size bed, the other with two twin size beds. There was also a kitchen. While certainly not luxurious, the room was in good condition, and was very clean. We would have liked being closer to Solvang, but this was just fine.
good room, nice location in the countryside, close to highway, good for travellers, good price
noisy frogs at night
It was a classic. It reminded me of the type of places my family would stay in back in the 60s/70s. It was certainly "old school" and a budget motel, but what do you expect for the price. I'd stay here again!
I appreciated having a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The motel was close to Solvang and I did not have to pay the much more expensive Solvang motel prices.
It was advertised that my room would have one king bed. The single bed was instead queen-sized. Also, the air-conditioning did not appear to work. It would be ok to stay at The Alamo if you know the weather won't be too hot.
I liked the pond/waterfall outside. It was very nice to have parking right in front of the door of the room. It has a microwave and a refridgerator. Loved the king size bed and it was silent! Breakfast was kinda lame, but better than nothing. We liked it enough to return. I do not know why it was only 1 star.
Small room, dresser too close to bed. I wanted to re arrange furniture. Breakfast was not something to be excited about, but it was something and that is nice.
